Mamdani Hates America and Our Constitution
NYC mayoral candidate, Zohran Mamdani, perversely called for a ‘new U.S. Constitution’ on social media, saying we need a document that “guarantees the right to vote, abolishes the electoral college, provides reparations for slavery, guarantees annual income, and so much more.” Read the story here. The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) Rebrands and Goes Off the Rails FIRE abandons its “tight focus on protecting free speech and ideological diversity on university campuses” to help conservatives; now championing “foreigners advocating for the interests of a designated terrorist organization that has engaged in mass slaughter, rape, and hostage-taking.” Read more here. The U.S. Supreme Court is poised to consider a major challenge that could reshape how voting maps are drawn SCOTUS has agreed to expand a Louisiana case and weigh arguments about whether the 1965 Voting Rights Act still justifies creating districts specifically designed to elect Black or Hispanic representatives. The case will examine whether racial considerations should play a role in redrawing electoral maps. The logic of the ruling means "there is little to stop governments around the country from compelling continuing education instructors in any trade or profession to profess all manner of controversial state-endorsed topics…."
