January 6 Political Prisoners Launch Historic $50 Billion Class Action Lawsuit Against DOJ Over 100 January 6 political prisoners have come together to file what is being hailed as the largest lawsuit ever against the Department of Justice. It is called the January 6 Restitution and Wrongful Incarceration Lawsuit. Read more here. Not A Joke: Dems Hatch Plan To Disqualify Every Single Trump Electoral Vote Two former editors-in-chief of the Columbia Law Review and the Yale Law Journal, respectively, showcased their authoritarian sensibilities by urging Congress to invoke the 1887 Electoral Count Act and invalidate President-elect Donald Trump’s victory in the Electoral College. They absurdly claim President Trump tried to overthrow the government by violating the 14th Amendment. Read more here. The National Marine Fisheries Service Violated the Appointments Clause of the U.S. Constitution The New England Fishermen’s Stewardship Association (NEFSA) challenged the constitutionality of U.S. fishery management councils in September 2023 in a lawsuit against the U.S. government and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). NEFSA claimed the appointment process for council members was unconstitutional and violated the Appointments Clause of the U.S. Constitution as it allowed undemocratically elected members of the council to make decisions. Chief Justice Issues Warning: Do Not Threaten The Judicial System With Violence Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts issued his 2024 Year End Report on the Federal Judiciary, and he attempted to head off the growing tendency among some citizens and politicians to violently interfere with the judicial system’s independence.
